Members of Christ Church, Washermenpet & St.James Church, Korukkupet travelled by 4 vans to reach Baluchetticathram and visited 6 villages preaching Gospel. We divided into 4 groups and went to 4 villages namely Sirunai, Kottrankulam, Muttavakkam and Samathuvapuram and returned to Baluchetty for lunch at 2pm. After Lunch we visited 2 villages in two groups preached Gospel.
We distributed Gospels; small handbills to those who were willing to receive. Many of the people in those villages welcomed us and requested us to pray for them. Children in those villages were very enthusiastic to hear the stories from the Bible.
About 75 members of our pastorate took part in this day of witness which was introduced by the Mission board, Diocese of Madras. Rev. N. Manova Santhosham and Mr. Immanuel Charles, Treasurer, Pastorate Committee supervised the whole mission work along with lay preachers and women and youth of our pastorate.

The Rev.GSM Francis, presbyter Thiruparuthikundram pastorate, Mr. Robert, secretary PC and Mr. Raja singh the local catechist and Treasurer PC have done fantastic arrangements to make this day of witness a successful and memorable one in the history of CSI Washermenpet pastorate. It was also a happy occasion to meet Rev. Samuel, Presbyter of Kanchipuram pastorate who was recommended by our pastorate for the ministry in our diocese. Around 7 Catechist were with us to help and guide us along with the local missionary. All the participants of the Washermenpet pastorate were very happy having experiencing such a satisfactory missionary work carried out by them and meeting the village people who are in many needs. We left that place by 5:45 pm.
