Diocesan level children festivel 12th November 2011

30 children from our church participated in the diocesan level children festivelorganised by the Department of christian education.Beginers and primary children got 3rd prizes in singing and the juniors came 3rd in the skit competition.We congratulate all the children and appreciate the teachers who were instruemental in training the children

Eye Camp : 12-November-2011

We have conducted Eye camp with the help of CSI Kalyani Multi specialty Hospital, Mylapore, Chennai-600 004, at our church campus where 150 patients were benefitted. 11 were referred to undergo eye surgery and they were taken to Kalyani Hospital by their van. 9 of them have undergone eye surgery and got discharged on 15th of November. 19 people were advised to wear spectacle for reading and 23 were asked to use spectacle for their sight problem.

Opening prayer was conducted by Presbyter-in-charge Rev.N.Manova Santhosham at 10 am and the camp began. Church youth and few PC members along with the officers Mr. Selvin, Secretary and Mr. Immanuel Charles, Treasurer were able to spend the whole day to make the eye camp a successful one. Lunch was provided around 2 pm and we thanked the Director CSI Kalyani Hospital and the team.

Elders Day Celebrations: 23-October-2011

Elders Day for our church members was celebrated on Sunday the 23rd October 2011. Around 250 elders of our Church attended the one day programme. Our youth conducted couple of programmes to make the elders happy .Many elders have shared their experience being member in this church for many years. Few sang, one of them read a poem and it was a great day of joy for all of them as it was shared by one of the members.
Our youth conducted praise and worship after the Sunday morning worship service. Rev.Daniel Chelladurai, retired pastor of CSI Madras diocese preached in the Worship service based on the NUNC DIMITTIS (song of Simon).
Our youth also led the post worship session in singing particularly they taught action songs to elders wherein many elders actively took part and followed the actions keenly.
Gifts were given to all the participants. This year hot box was the gift.Fellowship lunch was the climax where really all the elders happily joined and the menu was very interesting plain Rice,Sambar,Porial, Rasam ,Buttermilk with MUTTON.
The afternoon session was marked by a short devotion and dedication service and prayer by one of the retired pastors of our diocese Rev.T.D.Albert.

The one day elders programme came to an end with the benediction of the Presbyter in charge Rev.Manova Santhosham.
