Vacation Bible School : 28th April to 5th May 2012

Nearly 600 children have attended the VBS and 50 Teachers have volunteered to conduct the classes. Training for teachers was conducted on 15th of April at our church with the help of 4 specialized trainers from the Madras diocesan Christian education department.

Many children enthusiastically attended all the classes. Many of our church members donated snacks and provide lunch also. Apart from that our church members have come forward to donate generously to meet the expenses. Teachers were encouraged by gifts from the church and all the students were also given gifts. Final day function was conducted well and church congratulates all the teachers and volunteers.

Seven words on CROSS have to be reflected in many biblical backgrounds. This year seven words on cross will be meditated closely with the  light of the seven statements of seven early leaders of the church(of course there are many) who were quick enough to understand the message of the REIGN OF GOD of  JESUS CHRIST and very eagerly committed themselves to promote the values and the meaning of it in their life and dedicated to propagate the same to their immediate surroundings and thereby became pioneers in building the reign of God which have become a base to the early mission of the church.

Gospel Meet: 2012 - Second day - 25th March

Second day Gospel meeting began with the opening prayer by Rev. Milanchton Rajaregam of CSI William Charles Memorial Church,Broadway. After the opening song Mr.Edvin Rajamanickam, Secretary of CSI William Charles Memorial Church read the Bible portion (St.John 21:1-12). Mr. Samuel Baskaran, Treasurer,CSI Wesley Tamil Church, Broadway proposed vote of thanks. Mrs.Christina Arulnadhan, Headmistress, CSI Bishop Corries Hr.Sec.School where the Gospel meeting held was honored and Rev.T.D.Albert the choir conductor was also honored who took much initiative to train the combined choir.

Dr.John Solomon delivered the God's message and many were happy about the way of the presentation. Many came forward to be prayed by Bro.John Solomon. Rev.N.Manova Santhosham, Presbyter of CSI Christ Church, Washermenpet did the closing prayer and Rev.Gidian, presbyter, St.Mark church pronounced the benediction.

CSI Churches in North Chennai have unitedly organized a Lenten Gospel meeting on 24th and 25th March,2012 at CSI Bishop corrie Higher Secondary School, George Town, Chennai.

Dr. JOHN SOLOMON is the speaker on both these days. The meeting begins at 6:00pm on Saturday. CSI Churches namely Christ church, Washermenpet along with Tucker church, Wesley Tamil Church, William Charles Memorial Church and St.Marks Church   in Broadway have come forward to conduct this Lenten Gospel meeting. A combined choir of these churches is also formed under the guidance of Rev.T.D.Albert.
