Youth Retreat 10-July-2011
Youth Retreat exclusively for our church was planned meticulously by our church's youth and executed well. The worship service began with a familiar Tamil lyric "SARUVA LOGADHIBA NAMASKARAM".
The entire worship service was conducted by our youth following the special order of service prepared by our diocesan youth board.
Before the sermon by the Church pastor there was PRAISE and WORSHIP conducted by the youth which was led by BENNY and the most of the singing was led by NISHA. There was Choreography too before the sermon during the service.
After the worship service retreat began with the message of Mr. Johnson who highlighted the importance of the reading of the Bible and the role and impact of Prayer in our life. Mr. Solomon conducted games and some interesting play and a small skit.
After the lunch there was a sharing session wherein 3 persons shared their spiritual experience and all of them are members of our church and they have praised God for the very experiences they have received thro' our church and encouraged the youth how far the local church served them to grow in Christian spirituality .Mr.Anand (s/o Mr.Manoharan, our church’s lay preacher) who works for Metro mission, Dr.Samuel (s/o Late .Mr.David) who works in CMC ,Vellore and Er.Dhilip (s/o Mr.S.Jebakumar) who heads a voluntary organization for the differently abled called STEPUP were these 3 people .
At the end of the retreat pastor presented the analytical survey of the written questions of the youth and informed the gathering there would be a follow up meetings to look in to the various needs of the youth. We also appreciate for the good number of participation from the branch church, Korukkupet.
The one day retreat came to and ends with the Prayer and benediction by the Presbyter Rev.N.Manova Santhosham
